At Safe T Services, we respect your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information. Information Collected

Safe T Services will only collect, store and use your personal information as defined in this privacy statement. As of 1/26/2014, ThreadThat can be used without providing any personal information. Optionally, users can provide an email address and/or mobile device number to take advantage of notification, password reset and multi-factor authentication features. We will never provide your email address or mobile number to a 3rd party unless compelled to do so by a court order. Any information you post or files you upload are owned by you. We will never use the information you post on our site for anything other than sharing with authorized users. You decide when to delete your content. Deleting your account permanently removes all content and email addresses you entered or uploaded to the site. We do not retain any record of deleted accounts.

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)

We do not use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails. The emails we send are solely for the purpose of alerting you that another ThreadThat user has added you to a thread, that a thread to which you are a party has been updated or to verify your email account or login location.

Security Measures

Our primary concern is that your personal information is private and secure. At Safe T Services we use the industry-standard Secure Socket Layers (SSL) protocol which provides data encryption, message integrity, and server authentication when your data is sent to us. When you see a small lock in the bottom right or left corner of your browser window, you know your data is being encrypted for transmission.

All information you enter while using is used strictly by Safe T Services to provide the services requested by you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable law and federal standards. All data is stored on servers owned and hosted by Arvixe LLC and is backed up to prevent the loss of data. Threads, which are encrypted while at rest on the server, are only displayed via a secure connection.

Use of Log Files and Cookies

TT runs on a Virtual Private Server on which logging is disabled. TT does NOT store IP addresses. TT uses Google Analytics which enables us to anonymously analyze trends occurring on our Web site. Personally identifiable information is not stored, as Google does not collect personal information from visitors. For each visitor to TT, the software automatically records access times and pages viewed. employs the use of cookies. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. The only data stored in the cookie is your user name if you request that we remember it by checking the box on the secure login page. This persistent cookie allows us to prefill the Username field each time you access the site even before you log in. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. If your broswer is configured to disallow the use of cookies, then that feature will be disabled.

Non-Thread Related Communications

We will never contact you via email or phone unless you contact us first. We do not send marketing emails, nor will we notify you via email of changes on the site. Changes will only be communicated via the Announcements page.
